Concepted and designed by Angelo Baque and his team at Awake NY,the goal was to create something versatile,that can be worn day or night.
The GEL-NYC pairs the brand’s newest technology with ASICS’ beloved archival designs.The shoe’s upper comes from the early 2000s GEL-NIMBUS 3,mixed with a bit of the GEL-MC PLUS sneakers design.The GEL-NYC features the GEL-CUMULUS 16 shoe’s tooling system,providing additional comfort for the wearer.
